Partners & Networks

Networks of people, practice and knowledge across scales and geographies

Our Networks

A key part of IIHS’ commitment to enable India’s urban transformation is through shaping an institutional ecosystem by building dynamic and robust networks. Three kinds of networks are critical to our mission:

It is through these networks that we have supported and scaled the impact of our research, practice, and capacity development, with some of the largest and most prestigious foundations, research councils, donor institutions and corporates, alongside partnerships with several bilateral, multilateral and UN agencies, research institutions and universities.

Our institutional credentials include: Observer status with multiple UN programmes and agencies, like the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the Intergovernmental Science–Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) and recognition as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.

Through sustained engagement across sectors and geographies, IIHS has nurtured networks where diverse forms of knowledge and practice intersect, inform one another, and generate new possibilities for action.
